ZE:A’s Siwan is ready to tread the boards.
The singer has signed on to take the lead role in the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.
Siwan has already joined rehearsals for the stage show, which will see the 24-year-old putting on Joseph’s infamous coat of many colors.
“It will be my first time in a musical and I’m a little worried about playing such an important character with veteran actors,” he says of the part.
“But it’s important to make the most of opportunities in different files. I’m going to practice hard not to get in the way of the other actors or experienced production crew. I will also give a good performance on the stage so please support me.”
It won’t be the first acting role for the ZE:A star, who has had parts in dramas Man of the Equator and The Moon Embracing The Sun, as well as the MBC sitcom, Standby.
Joseph, which runs in Seoul from February 12 until April 11, also stars singer Jo Sung Mo, actor Song Chang Eui, and Jung Dong Ha.
