Former MBLAQ member Lee Joon will be making his first television appearance since leaving his band with a cameo role on primetime drama, Pinocchio.
A rep for the SBS series revealed today, January 14, that the 26-year-old singer — who left MBLAQ in December — will work once again with director Cho Soo Won to make a surprise appearance and revealed production stills showing the idol star in a scene surrounded by reporters.
The boy band idol forged a faithful relationship with director Cho when the pair work together tvN’s Gapdong. Says the rep, “Lee Joon agreed to appear in the drama through his loyalty to director Cho Soo Won. We are grateful for him.”
Filming for his scenes took place on Sunday, January 11, and even though the weather was extremely cold, Lee is said to have impressed production staff with his eager work ethic during the outdoor shoot.

A production source commented, “Despite being a cameo appearance, Lee Joon gave his very best for the filming and we were all moved by his passion. Please look forward to Lee Joon’s scenes to come.”
Lee Joon’s cameo can be seen on the penultimate episode of Pinocchio, airing tonight, January 14.
