After his public struggles in September, Lee Hoo of ZE:A has decided to take a break from the group, according to a new statement released by the band's agency.
A spokesman at Star Empire announced last night, October 21, "Lee Hoo will be ceasing all his activities for a while. He is not leaving ZE:A but will be taking some time out to recharge… His return date has not been decided."
Why the 25-year-old ZE:A frontman — also known as Junyoung — has decided to take a leave of absence is a mystery, but it is most likely related to the controversies between himself and the agency.
On September 21 the idol star went on an angry tweeting spree, singling out and vowing to bring down his agency head CEO Shin Joo Hak, only to retract his comments the very next day claiming a resolution had been agreed.
Star Empire has since released a statement that the band leader's grievances were related to his aggravations over the insufficient treatment for bandmate Tae Heon's martial arts injury, however the public still remain skeptical about the circumstances of his withdrawal.
