Many celebrities have gone under fire for making stupid statements on Twitter, so it's easy to understand why actor Yoon Si Yoon cancelled his account.

The 26-year-old Flower Boy Next Door star explains to CeCi magazine that he decided to turn his back on the social networking site after worrying he might say the wrong things.

"I started Twitter to communicate with fans and friends, but I thought I might depend on it too much and make a mistake," he tells the women's monthly. "It's something I had to be aware of because my momentary thoughts might leave permanent footprints. Instead, I decided I want to meet my fans offline more often."

He also tells the magazine about his love of reading, admitting to owning around 2,000 books! "I'm always reading," he says. "In the morning, while having my makeup done, in between shoots... My bag is always heavy [from books]."

In the cute photo spread, which can be found in the magazine's January issue, Yoon poses cheerfully with an ice-cream and other sweets, showcasing the boy-next-door charm he is so well known for.

Yoon's new drama, tvN's Flower Boy Next Door, starts on January 7, 2013.
