It's the end of an era. After 12 years together, YG Entertainment and Se7en have decided to part ways.

A spokesman for the singer confirmed Wednesday, February 25,  that YG will not renew their contract with the 30-year-old R&B artist, who they have managed since his debut in 2003.

The rep announced via statement, "We have decide not to renew our contract with Se7en, however we support his future endeavors."

The idol star’s last renewal occurred in April 2011 and ended in April 2013 shortly after he had commenced his mandatory military service and before he was embroiled in a scandal for visiting a massage parlor while technically still on duty.

Se7en commenced in his mandatory military service as a military PR agent, but the PR unit was closed down after 16 years of operation in July 2013 after his scandal caused controversy over celebrity soldiers receiving unjustified preferential treatment.
