While most idols go on extreme diets before their latest comeback single, former Wonder Girls member Sunmi has done exactly the opposite. Bearing her lean, long legs for a new set of preview photos, the 21-year-old singer reveals she has intentionally gained over 6kg [13 pounds] for her return to the charts.
JYP Entertainment released two images from the idol singer's upcoming digital single "24 Hours", showing the singer with a perky pink bob, wearing a form-fitting black-and-white striped bodysuit which bared her curvey physique.
"While I was promoting as a member of the Wonder Girls, I once weighed below 88 pounds [40kg]," she explains. "I normally went back and forth in the 90 pound [41kg], but to carry out my new sexy concept and performance, I gained enough weight to be 103.5 pounds [47kg]."
Sunmi was part of the original debut line up of the Wonder Girls and served in the hit girl band from 2007 up until 2010 when she decided to leave and focus on her academic studies.
