Nam Taehyun from boy band Winner is receiving negative criticism for his acting skills performance in his recent drama feature.

SBS' latest new series Late Night Restaurant debuted on air last night, July 5, and features the 21-year-old boy band singer in a story about a late night restaurant which opens at midnight and closes at 7am.

In a scene where his character Min Woo addresses his misery and loneliness, the boy band star’s delivery contained within it a mixture of tears, smiles, random silences and a general variety of expressions, such that viewers say they became confused and put off by his performance.

People were so disgruntled that they created parody videos of the scenes -- one of which saw his line "It felt like I was desperately trying to stay afloat in water" changed to "It feels like I’m desperately trying to find my way around this script".

While this is only Nam's second screen role, critical viewers have panned his performance saying that he should have been better prepared or trained before going for broadcast. What do you think?
