After eight weeks of promotional teasers and nearly ten months since coming first on YG Entertainment's trainee reality battle show, new boy band Winner have finally made their official debut.
On August 11, the agency treated fans to two music videos from the group, which is made up of leader Seung Yoon, Jin Woo, Seung Hoon, Mino and Tae Hyun.
The first video to drop was "Empty", the lead track from their album "2014 S/S". The song is a mid-tempo hip-hop track about the sadness and void felt after losing a love. The video features the boys looking forlorn as they despairingly sit and reflect on their misery.
Mino, 21, contributed to the songwriting process with other YG Family members, including B.I. from Team B of Who is Next: WIN.
Following close behind the boys' impressive first release was "Color Ring," the second single about regrets in love and the agony of waiting for a phone call from a lover that never comes. The video has a similar feel to "Empty" and shows the Winner members looking anguished in different scenes, each clutching a phone. Seung Yoon, 20, contributed towards the song writing process, helping pen lyrics for the track.
