Popular U-Kiss member has a good reason to celebrate today — he has just landed the lead role in the Chinese remake of a popular Korean drama.
A rep for the 23-year-old Washington-born idol confirmed that he is set to star in a new version KBS2's hit 2004 romantic comedy series, "Full House".
While the U-Kiss sensation has little acting experience, he boasts fluency in Mandarin, as well as English and Korean, which puts him in a unique position for the production.
The drama will be co-produced by the Group 8 production company and Asia Media Holdings, who confirm, "We shall be working together to co-produce the Chinese remake of drama Full House." (Group 8 have already successfully remade other K-dramas, including Boys Over Flowers."

The original cast of the 2004 series — which tells the story of an aspiring script writer who meets a famous actor on a free vacation — was led by pop icon Rain and actress Song Hye Kyo. Auditions for the Chinese version's lead actress are said to be taking place in Shanghai after a production press conference on October 23.
