Controversial new girl group Wassup released the music video for their debut single "Chi Chi Chi Bang Bang" Wednesday, September 7, officially bringing twerking to the K-pop scene.

In the video, the seven members of Wassup bounce and jiggle their rears in bright street-style outfits as they party in an outdoor basketball court. The girls dance it out in super-short hot pants, shaking their curves and toned thighs in bum-tastical frenzy. (A teaser clip was released earlier this week).

The group also made their debut live stage performance on MBC's Show Champion last night, choosing to make their first TV appearance on a cable channel after the three terrestrial stations in Korea requested they tone down their image and skimpy outfits.

The group -- who also release their debut EP "Wa$$up" today -- wrote in a statement: "The terrestrial stations did not grant us approval due to our outfits being overly sexual. But our debut performance being our first appearance to the public, we wanted to demonstrate our team colors and genre perfectly on a cable channel where expression is freer and less restricted."
