It's been a long time coming but TVXQ’s Yunho is about to take a leave of absence for a while. Why? You guessed it -- military service.

Agency SM Entertainment have announced that the 29-year-old singer will be enlisting in the Korea Armed Forces on July 21.

They said in a statement, "Yunho will undertake basic military training for five weeks before commencing his service in the Army for 21 months."

Fans will have to do some top secret spy work if they want to say their goodbyes because the have taken the unusual step of not revealing his precise conscription location or time in order to avoid fanfare.

Yunho has quite a bit to do before he goes to the Army. First, his band are holding their TISTORY concert on June 13 and June 14 in Seoul, then on July 8 the superstar singer releases his Japanese solo debut album, "U KNOW Y" which he will likely have to promote up till the very moment he enlists!

The TVXQ idol also has filming scenes to shoot on his current web drama I Order You (working title) in which he plays the lead character and the series is due to air in early July!

Looks like fans will have plenty of Yunho to indulge in over the next month before he makes himself scarce for two years!
