Big Bang's T.O.P has released his new single "Doom Dada" today, marking his return as a solo artist for the first time in over three years.
The 26-year-old idol released the track through iTunes and other online music sites and took the number one chart position across seven Korean music sites (MelOn, Naver Music, Olleh, Bugs, Mnet, Genie and Monkey3) within hours of release.
Composed and written by the star rapper himself, "Doom Dada" offers deep bass and vocals that resonate with abstract lyrics on society. "Hey mass media, stay calm and handle this new inspiration," he raps in Korean.
The Big Bang idol plans to perform his latest number at the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) in Hong Kong on November 22. His video for the track -- which is expected to be a somewhat surreal affair -- is due to be released later today, November 15.
T.O.P's number one single is one of many achievements this week. On November 14 he was crowned Fuse TV's "Sexiest Musician of 2013". After a month long poll and with over 1.5 million votes, Fuse TV gave the title to the K-pop stud, while Britney Spears claimed the female award. T.O.P.
