It wouldn't officially be a new year until rumors about YG Entertainment's much-anticipated new girl group are flying again.
This time around it's YG themselves who have got people talking, after posting a new photo of a new artist called Kim Jisoo on their official blog.
Other than her name, photo and year of birth (1995), no other details are available.
It was almost this time last year the entertainment agency, which also looks after BIGBANG, 2NE1 and PSY, posted their first photo of Kim.
There were rumors that Kim would be joining several other trainees, including Jennie Kim, Kim Eunbi and Yuna Kim, however YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk revealed that some of the girls won't be making the lineup and another has already left on her own accord.
A spokesman at YG had no comment when approached by IdolWow!, but a source reveals: "Just watch this space. There's some exciting things happening in the early part of this year.
"Kim Jisoo is part of a new project, but nothing else can be said at the moment. It's all protected by a strict confidentility agreement that anyone involved has signed.
"She's a great singer and great dancer. If and when she does debut, please support her."
