Although there's been no official confirmation from SM Entertainment that he's left EXO, this week's announcement that Tao will be releasing a solo single in China said it all.
And if you needed proof, the 22-year-old singer has hammered the final nail in the coffin after unfollowing all of his former EXO bandmates and K-pop pals on Instagram.
The sudden move happened after fans noticed that EXO's Chanyeol had unfollowed Tao -- real name Huang Zitao -- after he teased a solo debut on his studio's Weibo page, writing, "7.13 Huang Zitao Z.TAO COMING SOON! #Huang Zi Tao Fresh Voice."
Moments later Tao retaliated and went on a major cleanup -- removing all his Instagram friends: EXO's Sehun, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Lay former member Luhan and Dynamic Duo star Gaeko.

A rep for the Chinese-born singer and actor -- who distanced himself from the group earlier this year -- refused to comment earlier today but with his solo music just days away from release, it seems that Tao is moving on and not looking back.
