Seeing them perform flawlessly for their comeback single "Party," you'd be forgiven for thinking that Girls' Generation have barely noticed a change since Jessica Jung left the group last year.
But Taeyeon revealed during their July 7 showcase and press conference about some of the challenges they faced with choreography under the new eight-member system since former member Jessica left last year.
Hinting at the band’s hardships due to her former colleague’s absence, the 26-year-old member said at the at the Banyan Tree Hotel in Seoul, "With an odd number group it’s easy to organize the choreography. But in even numbers, because there is no one person to hold the centre, two people have to stand up front."
Despite the challenges, the band are trying their best to stay positive as Taeyeon assures, “We want to show out fans a positive image, and we don’t want to disappoint so we find ourselves growing tighter and stronger together as a team."
