She may have the world at her feet as one of the nine members of Girls' Generation, but 23-year-old Taeyeon admits she suffers from loneliness.
The singer made the surprising confession while filming KBS show Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook.
During an association game, MC Yoo read the statement "I'm so lonely I feel like I'm going crazy". Taeyeon was the only member to raise their hand.
"I am lonely," she sighed. "I don't know what to do when I get home from work. I feel empty inside... It's hard."
However, when asked who has cried recently, it was everyone but Taeyeon to nod.
Tiffany, 23, admitted: "I was feeling bad about something [recently] and I told the other memebers of the group and I cried.
"But I'm so glad that I can share my worries with them."
It's been a week of a candid chat for Girls' Generation. On KBS' Happy Together, members Yuri, Tiffany and Hyoyeon shared personal stories.
The most surprising admission was Hyoyeon, 23, who revealed she once doubted the future of her career after joining the band
She said: "In the early days of SNSD, we performed and sang while holding up candy and acting cute. While singing back then I would think to myself, 'Did I practice and exercise that hard as a trainee to sing this song?', and I began feeling doubts."
