Shindong is fessing up. The Super Junior star has candidly revealed his reasons for suddenly getting double eyelid plastic surgery in 2011.
While appearing as a guest on MBC's Star Gazing show last night, September 19, the 28-year-old boyband singer discussed how he came to get plastic surgery on his eyes. "I noticed my eyelids were covering half of my eyes," he explained, noting that on the same day Lee Soo Man -- chairman of S.M. Entertainment — had pointed out to Shindong that he had a foul glare in his eyes.
"So I stuck some double eyelid tapes on my eyes and it [temporarily] looked better… so I went and got the surgery promptly done the next day."
He also joked about how he believed he was the best looking star in his weight category! "I believe I'm the best looking among those who weigh 100 kilograms - give or take five kilograms," he laughed.
"I look much better than Sam Hammington," proclaimed the chubby-cheeked singer, adding that he's witnessed only two individuals that beat him on looks — famous swimmer Jo Oh Ryun's son Jo Sung Mo and Hollywood actor Jack Black . A fan in the audience then chimed in in agreement but noted that his looks improved after getting double eyelid surgery.

Shindong has't been the only Super Junior member to reveal his cosmetic work. In 2011, bandmate Kyuhyun was forced to admit double eyelid surgery after his high school yearbook photo was exposed showing a notable discrepancy over his eyes!
