Heo Young Saeng of superstar boy band SS501 has announced his plans to enlist in the Korean military at the end of this month.
The 27-year-old singer’s agency B2M Entertainment posted the news today on the stars' official website. They wrote: "Heo Young Saeng has been enlisted into military service as a medic soldier and will commence his duty on October 31 at 14:00 [KST] at the Nonsan training camp."
The agency further commented of Heo's 21-months of duty: "In order to express his gratitude towards his long supporting fans he is preparing his last album before he enters service."

The SS501 idol debuted with the group in 2005 and evolved into a solo artist after their split in 2010, releasing his third mini-album "Life" in March, topping the charts.
Band mate Kim Kyu Jong was the first SS501 member to embark on his mandatory Korean military service, joining the army in July 2012.
