Adorable actor Song Joong Ki has completed his mandatory two-year military service duties and is already coming back to the screen!

On Wednesday, May 26, the 29-year-old idol star was freed of his military obligations and discharged from the Korean Army, which he joined in August 2013.

The "A Werewolf Boy" actor was greeted by fans from all over the world and reporters who held up congratulatory banners in front of his army base camp.

During an impromptu press conference, the actor said that he missed his family, friends and the people from his agency, but that watching baseball games and Lee Kwang Soo's performances in SBS' variety show Running Man helped him cope with the pressures of army life.

No rest for the wicked though, as Song will now swiftly begin preparing for his next role alongside actress Song Hye Gyo in KBS2's The Sun's Descendent (tentative title) which is reported to commence filming in July.
