Song Joong Ki has spoken about the close relationship he has with his father and how he inspires him to be a better person.

The 26-year-old actor, said of his teacher dad: "I saw my father promoting my movie A Werewolf Boy to some students and telling them who he was. I was so shy [at that moment] but I also felt good."

In the candid interview with Park So Hyun's Love Game radio show, he recalled touching moment: "When I called my father after competing on Innocent Man, he said he was already on his way to the set for the last shooting scene. My hear was just too full of words and I thought that I should become a better son to him."

The handsome star also spoke of how he plans to make his career last. "On a variety show, Kim Good Jin said that popularity is like a roller coaster," he said. "I also thought that my popularity may go up and down some day. So I want to become a talented actor through my work.

"I choose jobs based on the quality of rather than the actors I'm working with. That's why I chose A Deep-Rooted Tree. Actually there was an actress [in another show] I wanted to work with, but I chose this series because of its quality."
