This week's battle of the girl bands is already over! On June 22, Sistar and AOA went head to head in the album and charts when both groups made their long-awaited comebacks.
But by the end of Monday, a clear winner had already emerged.
Fantastic foursome Sistar beat their rival group by a major win, taking number 1 spots on all nine major music charts Korea! The group's latest summer single "Shake It" landed in pole position on MelOn, Mnet Music, Olleh Music, Genie, Naver Music, Daum Music, Soribada, Monkey3, and Cyworld Music.
The June 22 day had started out differently with AOA getting to enjoy momentary chart domination with their new single and mini album "Heart Attack", but Sistar swiftly killed their buzz after launching their new material at 7:30pm Korean time.
Despite the loss, AOA say they are honoured to be releasing music at the same time as Sistar. Member Chanmi said at a June 22 showcase in Seoul, "It's a honor to be promoting at the same time as Sistar. I think we'll have something to learn from them being up-close to them."

Meanwhile, Sistar still have future fights on their hands as when girl groups such as Girls' Generation, Girl's Day and A Pink launch their new albums in July.
