Over three months after she was caught on videotape arguing with Lee Tae Im, singer Yewon has made a public apology to the Don't Hesitate actress.
On Tuesday, June 2, the 25-year-old former Jewelry member wrote on her social media accounts an apology that read, "I sincerely apologize to those who’ve had to suffer due to my errors... I was too immature to behave properly and regret causing inconvenience to senior Lee, who must have worked to achieve her dream than I."
The scandal happened in February after younger Yewon -- while appearing on MBC’s reality show Tutoring Across Generations -- was accused by Lee, 28, of not speaking and addressing her elders respectfully. Lee expressed her discontent by shouting and cursing at the three-hers-younger songstress. At the time Lee was forced to step down from all her TV programs due to the incident.
The scandal then exploded again when a YouTube clip containing a conversation between the two stars was leaked and showed Yewon addressing Lee in an overly casual and disrespectful manner. (Korean language makes extensive use of speech levels and honorifics between younger and older people, even if there is only a small age difference).
