In a galaxy far, far away... 2NE1's music video for its latest track "Come Back Home" has been released -- and it's cinematic sci-fi heaven!
The four-and-a-half-minute clip features CL, Park Bom, Minzy and Sandara Park in a futuristic, space-age metropolis setting and sporting bright blue, pink, red, blonde, black hair colors.
Said to have cost over $470,000 to create, the video is the group's most expensive music video production so far.
The song is the group’s rendition of veteran K-pop singer Seo Taiji’s 1995 group smash hit of the same title, and the video appears to be centred on the notion of calling back a loved one who is felt to be drifting away into the perilous fantasies of modern society. Possibly.
"The content could be a little difficult to understand, but keep if viewers keep in mind that happiness in the real world is the most important thing, they will understand the music video better," YG CEO Yang Hyuk Suk says of the clip.
The video is the second new release from 2NE1's album "Crush". Single "Happy" also debuted online today and received over a million views in just a few hours.
