Kim Hyun Joong has written a letter apologizing to his girlfriend after she pressed charges against him for repeated domestic violence.
The 28-year-old singer posted the emotional letter on his official website yesterday addressing and repenting over his actions, claiming that he was ashamed "to have done something that no man should do".
"I'm really sorry for subjecting a lot of mental and physical pain to someone whom I shared trust with and loved for two years over this incident," he wrote in the September 15 post. "I am very ashamed to have done something that no man should do."
He continues, "This incident is wholly on account of my wrongdoings, therefore there is no reason for her to be besmirched.
"I apologize to her once again, and also wish to extend my apologies to her family and friends. Above all I hope that she accepts my apology and forgives me."
Kim expresses his remorse further, adding: "I shall work towards living a more virtuous and healthier life through this incident."

It’s believed former SS501 member also delivered an apology directly to his ex-girlfriend, who is now considering dropping charges for a peaceful resolution. Her legal rep also says, "Since they loved one another for two years, she does not necessarily want to completely destroy Kim Hyun Joong."
