Rain in Talks to Sign With Jay-Z's Roc Nation Label

Rain is currently in talks with major record label Roc Nation, the entertainment agency founded by hip-hop legend Jay-Z, his rep confirms to IdolWow!.

Having been discharged upon completion of his mandatory military service at the Korean army’s Defense Media Agency on Wednesday, July 10, the 31-year-old K-pop icon revealed that he will be meeting with the US company in August or September.

A spokesperson from Rain's new agency, Cube Entertainment, explained last night: "There are no firm details that have been confirmed. There is an discussed proposal from Jay-Z for Rain to work in the US but he is undecided.

"Rain will be visiting the US but it probably won't just be there for the purposes of this deal in question... As he was only discharged yesterday, his activity schedule is yet to be decided."

Jay-Z, who is married to singer Beyonce, founded Roc Nation in 2008 and has signed artists such as Rita Ora, J. Cole and Calvin Harris.

In the US. Rain is better known for his film roles in Ninja Assassin and Speed Racer than work as a musician.
