With a comeback on the horizon, girl group T-ara have chosen Qri to replace Soyeon as their group leader.
Their agency, Core Contents Media, announced Sunday, July 14: "After member Ahreum left to go solo, T-ara is expected to operate as a six-member group. To signify the upcoming comeback and a fresh, new start, Qri will replace Soyeon as the leader."
T-ara have repeatedly, periodically re-nominated it’s leader at each new album release. Having gone from Eunjung, to Boram, to Hyomin, to Soyeon, and now Qri, this makes the 26-year-old singer the fifth leader of the group.

Former member Ahreum announced her departure from the group and solo career plans on July 10, leaving the remaining members of group to perform as a six-piece act for Treasure Box show at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan arena on Saturday, July 13.
A rep for the group tells IdolWow!: "As well as their Japanese activities, the group are currently busy recording music for their next Korean album."
