No looking back. Oh Won Bin, former member of rock group FT Island, says he has no regrets about going solo.
In a recent photoshoot and interview with Korea's bnt magazine, the 25-year-old boy band idol opened up about his life as a solo musician and film star.
"I don't have any regrets about leaving the band," he said of leaving the group in 2009. "I actually like things the way they are now. As part of a team you go where where you're led, but now I’m happy that I can venture out on my own."
The idol star also described the suffering he endured during his two year hiatus after disbanding. "Once I got used to being on my own, I began developing an aversion to meeting people," he revealed.
"I began distancing myself from people. It was basically school or home. I composed songs while at school and then continuously released albums with those songs in Japan."

Now in an attempt to diversify from his rocker roots, Oh says he wants to be taken seriously as an actor. "I want to focus more on being an actor than music," says the idol, who already has two film credits under his belt with another two, including Yoo Jung, being released this year.
