They've been dating for well over two years, but with his mandatory military service looming, Lee Seung Gi has penned a heartfelt "goodbye" to Girls' Generation girlfriend YoonA.
The 28-year-old is currently preparing to enlist with the Korean Armed Forces for two-years and just put out a new album -- his first in two-and-a-half years -- to bid a (temporary) farewell to his friends and loved ones.
"And..." is Lee's sixth studio release, and, is filled with songs covering a range of emotions including appreciation, sorrow, love, joy, and happiness for fans and people that have been in his love over the past 10 years of his career.
Amongst those loved ones is girlfriend YoonA, who he has written a special message for, expressing just how important she is to him.
He sings in the song "And Goodbye", "The words goodbye goodbye goodbye. It doesn't mean it's the end. Because we are under the same sky. I say goodbye goodbye goodbye. But in my heart, only you you, only you. We were together in a short time but we have many memories. I was always moved by your unchanged love. Today is not the last day. So please don't cry. Wherever you are in the world, I can find you."
It will, no doubt, be difficult for the pair as he spends two years working in the military, but the couple are determined to make things work while they are apart. (A date for his enlistment has yet to be released, but it is thought to be at the end of the summer).
