Lee Ju Ki, PSY, Minho Go Crazy During Korea World Cup Game

Idols and drama stars were taken over by World Cup fever last night, June 17, with tweets and pics shouting their support for Korea Republic team in its game against Russia, which finished on (spoiler alert!) a 1-1 tie.

Actor Lee Jun Ki wore a traditional Hanbok on the set of Joseon Shooter alongside co-star Nam Sang Mi and posted, "All the cast and staff are banking on Korea’s victory in the game. We are certain that the team will bring Korea great happiness!"

Whilst fans united together in the streets of Seoul to watch the game on super size public screens, show host and comedian Kang Ho Dong was spotted in Gwanghwamun Square clasping his hands praying for a victorious outcome.

SHINee star -- and fellow Our Neighborhood's Master of Variety and Sports team mate -- Minho was also scene throwing his hands in the air.

Girl group Dal Shabet got into red team colors and tweeted a group selfie captioned, "Republic of Korea!! JJakjjak~jjakjjakjjak![sic]" with member Subin -- in a blue hospital gown and leg cast -- also in the shot.

It was the the 23-year-old's first public appearance since her car accident last month but she still gave a promising smile to the camera!

Super Junior's Shindong simply tweeted "Start!" at the beginning of the game, while bandmate Kangin offered a more elaborate supporting speech, "South Korea fighting! Let's go, let's go! I’m watching whilst hearing Bae Sung Jae's commentary. Let’s all cheer them on!"

Superstar singer PSY made a single tweet moments after Korea scored against Russia: "Ggoooooaaal~!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woar!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [sic]."

Then the social media sphere went quiet when Russia equalized, however when the game finally ended in a draw, Girl’s Day's Minah gave the team a supportive finishing tweet, "Our Taeguk Warriors did their best!! TT You are incredible! Dae~~~ Han Min Gook!! I’ll cheer you on more and more and more! [sic]."

Korea Republic's next match is on Sunday, June 22, where they meet Algeria. Expect more social media madness from your favourite stars.
