Wigging out! Actor Lee Jong Suk has revealed he suffered hair loss after wearing a wig for his role in upcoming drama, Pinocchio.
SBS held a press conference for its new drama at its headquarters in Seoul on Thursday, November 6, and the 25-year-old screen star took the opportunity to voice his frustrations over having to wear the hair piece.
"In the drama, my character's messy hair becomes different when he becomes an adult," he explained. "Having worn the messy wig for long periods during the shoot, I noticed my front hair was falling out. I still feel like I'm wearing and it's rather stressful."
He added, "It was a lot uglier than I had imagined — the kind of ugly that would have been difficult to portray if a handsome actor had taken the role."
Despite his frustrations over the wig-induced hair loss, the idol actor says the role allowed him to refine his acting and speech delivery and that audiences would get a chance to witness a "different side of him."
Others present at the press event for SBS' new drama were co-stars Park Shin Hye, Kim Young Kwang and Lee Yoo Bi.
