Like many this week, Lee Hyori is starting her 2013 on a new health kick.
The 33-year-old singer has revealed she is currently on a gruelling lemon detox diet, but admits it has not been so easy.
She tweeted today: "I've been on a lemon detox diet for three days so far to make my body and mind clear. For those interested, I'll tell you how I feel…
"First day, feel hungry. Second day, feel hungrier. Third day, feel hungriest. The end."
The lemon detox, which mixes maple and palm syrup with lemon juice, water and cayenne pepper, is a popular cleaning system with celebrities. Users are supposed to drink over two litres of the liquid, and eat nothing else, for at least three days. It's proven to help the body cleanse itself of toxins, as well as aide possible weight-loss.
"I'm not trying to lose weight," she added. "But I want to detox my body to make it clean... It would be great if I could lose weight, too."
Lee, who spent the Christmas holidays with boyfriend Lee Sang Soon in Hawaii and LA, is a fan of healthy living and has been a vegetarian for over 10 years.
"I'm not against meat included in someone's diet, but too many animals are treated badly because of high demand," the "10 Minutes" star has said. "I think too much meat might be the problem, so I want to contribute by eating less meat."
