Lee Byung Hun quietly attended a close-door court hearing for his case against two women who blackmailed him.
On Monday, November 24, the actor — who recently returned from a work trip to Los Angeles — testified at the Seoul Central District Court after arriving with an entourage including bodyguards, manager, agent and his legal team.
After a detailed run of events from the 44-year-old actor regarding how he had come into acquaintance with the two blackmailers — and a viewing of the video allegedly used to blackmail him — model Lee Ji Yeon’s publicist took to the stand to tell the court details of their alleged affair.
'They were in a relationship together," the rep stated, before showing phone chat messages as proof. But the Red 2 screen star declared all evidence as "a joke," and that he, "couldn't remember" much but denied claims of any relationship.
At the end of a three-hour hearing Lee emerged from the courtroom and told reporters, "I've responded candidly on all accounts so will now await a result."
In August, Lee reported to local police that he was being blackmailed by model Lee Ji Yeon and girl group GLAM's Da Hee, who threatened to release a video which supposedly showed the screen star inebriated and behaving crudely, unless a ransom of approximately $4.6 million USD was paid.
