JYJ member Park Yoochun has begun his mandatory military services for South Korea, breaking the hearts of his adoring fans for a whole 21-months of absence.
The K-pop idol and actor quietly enlisted at the Choongnam Nonsan Army Training Base in Korea, where he will spend several weeks training before beginning his role at another base.
A day ahead of his enlistment, the 29-year-old boy band idol announced through his social media accounts a message to his fans, apologizing for any times he has let them down.
"There are a lot of things I am really sorry about," he wrote in the heartfelt post. "I’m so grateful. No matter how hard I try to sleep, today my heart just won’t go to rest. Thank you. Very much.”
Furthermore today, August 27, JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment released short video on Instagram of the singer, who was hiding his shaved head under a dark cap before arriving at the military base (which he chose to enter privately).
Says a rep, "Just before he enlists. A letter expressing his residing sentiments written while on his way to his training camp will be revealed today at 9pm via Facebook. To Park Yoochun’s healthy enlistment.”
