He's currently on stage as the gothic looking L in the musical version of Death Note, but JYJ's Kim Junsu went back to his squeaky-clean best for a new photo shoot.
The 28-year-old posed for a fresh summer pictorial in the July edition of Korea's theatre and performing arts magazine Scene Playbill.
With his hair dyed a cool mint-tinged platinum, Kim looks relaxed and laid back as he enjoys the natural surroundings of the photo shoot set.
In one shot he laughs as he blows bubbles towards the camera, and in another he leans against a rustic looking window while wearing a sleeveless tank top to show off his toned arms.
He opens up to the magazine about taking on the role of L, admitting it wasn't easy at first. He says, "Everything from the tone of his voice to his expressions, swagger and mannerisms are very unusual. However, I’m acting by searching for the point where the original character and what I wish to feel and express come together."
Kim has won numerous awards for his musical acting, including Best Musical Actor at the 18th Korea Musical Awards in 2012. He also won Most Popular Musical Actor at the event for four consecutive years from 2010 to 2013.
The "Flower" singer recently earned critical acclaim for his role in the Korean adaptation of the Death Note musical (which runs at the Seongnam Arts Center Opera House, Seoul, until August 9).
