The late Jo Sung Min's family have discovered a will amongst his possessions, authorities confirm.
A spoekesman at the Seoul Suseo Police Agency announced last night: "We were told a will from the deceases has been found. The police have received the will from his family."
In the handwritten will, Jo, a former baseball player and ex-husband of actress Chae Jin Shil, addresses his parents and his two children, apologizing in advance for taking his life.
He wrote to his children, Hwan Hee and Joon Hee: "My son and daughter... whom I love, will be left with an unbearable scar from their father. I am sorry toward my babies... Never forgive your bad parents."
Jo Sung Min was found dead in an apartment in Dogok, Seoul, on January 6. The death was later confirmed by authorities as suicide.
According to police, the will was found in Jo's bag after his family had been looking through his possessions.
Adds the spokesman: "There is nothing there that warrants suspicion. We hope you will continue to show respect for the deceased."
