Dream team! EXO’s D.O will be joining actor Jo Jeong Seok as stars in a new upcoming feature film.
CJ Entertainment announced toady, August 25, that the 34-year-old screen star and 22-year-old boy band idol will pair up for upcoming emotional drama movie, Hyung.
In the film, D.O will play the role of Judo player Doo Young -- the younger brother of Doo Sik (played by Jo Jeong Seok) -- who is about to compete in the national trials when an accident happens and adversities ensue.
Regarding his role, the EXO star said in a statement, "It's a role I've never played before, so I have a lot of determination to do well. I couldn't sleep after reading the script in one go because I was so excited about it. I won't be able to forget that feeling.'

Written by Yoo Young Ah (the brains behind Miracle in Cell No. 7) and directed by Kwon Soo Kyung (of Barefoot Kibong fame), Hyung aims to bring out the most raw human story within the context of the brotherhood according to director Kwon.
Filming begins in October and will continue until Christmas, with a release date set to be announced some time in 2016.
