Former Girls' Generation idol Jessica Jung broke down in tears at her first solo fan event in Korea.
On Monday, December 22, the girl group icon held a fan event in conjunction with the opening of her first pop-up store for her new fashion enterprise Blanc & Eclare.
Over 100 fans met with the 25-year-old singer-turned-entrepreneur at Seoul's Avenuel Mall Lotte Cinema to lend support to their idol star.
In a fan video, well-wishers can be heard shouting in Korean, "Jessica, let's be happy!," to which the emotional SNSD diva jokingly responded, "How many times are you making me cry? Are you doing this on purpose?"
Moments later she does indeed burst into tears while continuing to extend her gratitude. "Thank you so, so much," she said. "I will read every single letter [that you have given me]."
Choking back more tears, Jung — who left Girls' Generation in September — added, "I read every letter you guys have given and I will make more opportunities for us to meet again like this."
