July might be the month for major girl group comebacks, but HyunA is planning to have August all to herself! The 4Minute diva announced today, June 4, that she's working on new material for a major return to the charts.
A spokesman for the singer at Cube Entertainment says, "HyunA has been spent a long time preparing for her planned solo comeback in August."
While an exact date is still to be announced, sources say it's likely to be at the middle of the month. "She has spent much of this year going to LA for studio sessions," an insider tells IdolWow!. "She's been working with lot of big US music producers."
The source adds that the "Bubble Pop" star has been inspired by Billboard favourites Iggy Azalea and Charlie XCX, both of whom take cues from hip-hop and other urban influences.
