Idols are usually expected to have huge bank balances, but Kangnam of boy band M.I.B has revealed how much he earns — and it's a lot less than expected!
On a last night’s October 18 episode of MBC's Section TV, the 27-year-old hip-hop artist began talking of his rise in fame, claiming, "I've only been this popular for a month now. Before I used to have just one two-hour engagement per week, but now I have schedules every day."
When the show host asked how it reflected on his earnings, the M.I.B star said, "It's grown a bit. I've received royalties now," and added, "300,000 won!", which is is approximately USD $280.
While the figure is bafflingly low by most standards, it is still almost 100 times better than when Kangnam last checked his account on the show which revealed he had only 3,422 won to his name (a mere USD $3) in his bank account.
Hopefully now that he is a regular on four variety shows, he can expect to start earning a lot more!

And if he needs inspiration, Miss A's Suzy became spokesmodel for over 22 different companies in 2013, banking a sweet USD $9.5 million. Nice work if you can get it!
