Army life was tough for Heechul. The Super Junior star has expressed how much he missed attention and fans during his two years mandatory service with the Korean the military.
Because of his role as a civil servant required him to keep a low profile, the 30-year-old performer admits that he struggled with maintaining such a low-key lifestyle.
"It was hard for me because I couldn't do the things I liked for two years," he tells the October edition of Cosmopolitan Korea, on stands now. "In the past, I felt troubled when fans would grab my clothing or hair. But while I did this photoshoot, I started to miss the fans who would be waiting at the airport."
He added: "During my off time, I was hungry for the fans' care. Then I realized that I'm the type of person who lives on attention."
In addition, the "Bonamana" singer expressed his desire to be in a serious relationship. "Now would be a nice time to meet someone," he revealed. "It would be nice to share with someone."

Heechul was discharged from the military on August 30 and fellow member Yesung, 29, enlisted on May 6. Last year, saw 29-year-old Leeteuk leave for military service and Kangin, 28, return from his stint in August.
