December 28 is going to be a lucky day for Se7en! The pop idol is to be discharged from his mandatory Korean military services next month.

The 30-year-old idol has been serving in the 8th Infantry division at the 306 Reserve Battalion outside of Seoul since commenced his national service on March 19, 2013.

While the "Better Together" singer — who has been dating actress Park Han Byul for 11 years — originally scheduled to complete his duties on December 18, a series of controversies saw him sentenced to military prison for 10 days, delaying his final discharge date.

The controversies involved the star's violations of military code of conduct after he was captured on camera visiting a late-night massage parlor in June by SBS' Scene 21 news crew. He denied soliciting any sexual service.

While Se7en's contract with YG Entertainment is believed to have expired during his military service period, the singer nevertheless still remains on YG's client list and is expected to make a return to the entertainment industry in due course.
