Girl's Generation will be getting up close with their fans across the globe soon for their first ever world tour, it was announced today.
SM Entertainment confirm in a statement to IdolWow! that the group's tour will kick off in June. The group will kick off their Girls & Peace tour in Seoul's Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium on June 8 and 9 before heading overseas.
Says a spokesman: "We are planning to have dates in many countries overseas and ask that fans keep watching for further information. Dates will be announced very soon."
The nine-member band, who go by the name of Shoujo Jidai in Japan, just completed a 20-date arena tour in the Land of the Rising Sun.

At their final concert, held at Osaka's Municipal arena, the girls performed bonus tracks on top of the 29 song setlist, which consist of their past Korean and Japanese album tracks and singles. Taeyeon also read a letter in Japanese that she had prepared in advance for the audience.
Tickets for Girls & Peace go on sale starting Thursday May 9, while a fan tour package for international fans will also be available through smtowntravel.com/gg on May 1.
