Almost there SONEs! Girls' Generation are currently busy preparing for a big comeback this July.
The girl group is expected to make its return in July -- their first return to the charts since member Tiffany left last year, leaving the band as an eight-piece.
A spokesman for the group said today, "Girls' Generation are preparing their album, but a release date has not been decided."
Little is known about the new album, but a source tells IdolWow!, "They have worked with a number of US producers and are pushing for a slightly updated sound. They're becoming more mature and want to reflect that in their music."
With other girl groups like Sistar, AOA, Girl's Day and A Pink scheduled for comebacks this summer summer, it means the stakes are even higher in the girl band scene.
