These ladies are clearly in charge! On Thursday June 19 Girl's Generation filmed a top secret flashmob with Japanese television to promote their new single "Love & Girls".

The group rounded up 4,000 fans (and Elmo!) at the Universal Studios Japan theme park in Osaka to perform a dance routine. And despite, the rain, dedicated fans queued for over a day to join their idols for the unique experience.

"Thank you for waiting in the rain," Sooyoung said at the event, which was screened on Japan's Mezamashi Television today. "We were nervous because it's our first flashmob, but it's such a success thanks to our fans."

As they performed their current single's "shampoo dance" together in unison, the 23-year old single added: "I'm happy to dance with you and see everyone's smiles."
