2015 has definitely been the year of Girls' Generation thanks to their stellar comeback singles. And now member Taeyeon is stepping forward to take to the state on her own!
SM Entertainment -- the managing agency of the iconic girl group -- announced today that the 26-year-old idol star is currently working a solo album.
While the agency was secretive about exact details, it is known that the album had been in the works since the start of the year and local reports speculate a fall release.
When it arrives, it will be the songstress’ first official solo debut, despite her earlier solo efforts on drama soundtracks including the 2008 KBS drama Hong Gil Dong where she sung the track, "If."
The SNSD lead vocalist is already a doubling up her role in the group as she is also part of the band’s popular sub-unit TaeTiSeo along with fellow members Tiffany and Seohyun.
