Girl’s Day's Hyeri has spoken out against rumors that she and K-pop legend Tony An have broken up, insisting the relationship is going well.
The 18-year-old, who attended the movie premiere for Holly with bandmates in Seoul last night, released a statement through her agency, revealing why the May-December couple haven't been seen together much since starting to date in March.
"My schedule became rather busy soon after the dating news broke out and we have not been able to see each other much, but we still text and talk over the phone," she explained. "We haven't broken up."
A rep for Girl's Day adds while Hyeri "feels happy at being seen as Tony An's girl" she has a demanding schedule with the group. "It’s fair to say that Hyeri's popularity has risen due to the relationship news, but her share of work activity in the group hasn't changed," says the Dream Tea spokesperson.

"That said, the team's brand has been promoted and as a result the group itself has had more demand," the rep adds. "Just in the last month, the girls did 40 gigs in total. It could be said that the scandal has brought good fortune."
While Hyeri admits she refrains from sharing details of the relationship with her bandmates, who also don't ask questions about her relationship with 35-year-old An, a source says that "the group is supportive of her".
