'Tis the season for feeling. As the latest in a recent wave of charming and powerful autumnal K-pop songs, Girl's Day have released "I Miss You," a raw and emotional ballad.
Dream T Entertainment dropped the new track and music video on Tuesday, October 14, which shows audiences a completely different side of the four Girl's Day members.
Unlike the group's recent concepts, which showcase their sexiness in upbeat dance tunes, "I Miss You" allows Sojin, 28, Yura, 21, Minah, 21, and Hyeri, 20, to display an endearing vulnerability as they share the pain of missing their past lovers.
In the video, the ladies show powerful emotion as they somberly reflect on these relationships in different scenes, which often feature the girls breaking down and even shedding some tears.
A spokesperson for the group explains, "[It's] a ballad, rather than the kind of dance number that fans are most familiar with. ["I Miss You"] is a special song that has been recorded with fans in mind. We will be trying to show the unique attraction of each of the members of the group."
The slow-tempo song was produced by all-star producing team Duble Sidekick and features an energetic rap portion performed by Yura.
