While Amber thrilled an crowd of over 50,000 people with f(x) at the London Korean Festival on Sunday August 9, she was hiding a secret heartache behind her smile.
On August 8, the 22-year-old girl was delivered the news news that her pet dog Gongju -- meaning Princess in Korean -- had died.
Gongju was Amber’s tiny pet chihuahua and was dearly loved by the girl group songstress for the past three years as well as by her fans.
At the time of her death the pooch and Amber's other dog JackJack had over 80,000 followers on Instagram alone.
Amber shared her sentiments and grief over the death of JackJack on Instagram and wrote, "Hey everyone, im sorry to have to announce Gongju passed away on Saturday. I want to thank everyone for supporting her for the past three years. Its been a pleasure sharing this part of my life with everyone. Their account will still be active for JackJack@jackjackdadog."
Alongside a second post of the chihuahua lying beside a red blanked, she added, "I thought i'd share this last picture of Gongju i got from the doctors when she was still okay. It was a hard 6 months and Gongju fought hard. Thank you for fighting for me Gongju. Thank you again to everyone who supported her and all my friends who helped me raise and take care of her. You guys made Gongju very happy." May she rest in peace.
