Former MBLAQ member Lee Joon has taken his acting career another step further after accepting a role in the forthcoming film Key of Life.
A spokesperson at his agency Prain TPC, confirmed the news, announcing, "Lee Joon has decided to appear in film Key of Life, and he is currently preparing for the filming."
Key of Life, which starts filming in August, tells the story about a movie extra who switches identities with an assassin. Lee Joon, 27, will play the role of the extra, while The Pirates' Yu Hae Jin is set to play the assassin.
His role will no doubt bring back memories to the former singer as he also played an extra in his debut film Rough Play.

Popular actress Ryoko Hirosue starred in the original Japanese version of the film. And the film will be directed by Lee Gye Byeok of The Beast and the Beauty.
Lee Joon, who recently wrapped SBS's popular drama I Heard It Through the Grapevine, continues to see his star rise in the world of film after just releasing Guest.
