Former Girls' Generation trainee Fwaney has announced her musical comeback this year.
The singer, real name Lee Hwan Hee, will showcase a sexy new look in her forthcoming video for single, Monroe's Heel.
Stills from the January 11 release were released by Lee's agency, Worthy Entertainment, who say the 23-year-old is ready to show the public a new side.
"Monroe's Heel is a song about independent, modern women and a reference to Mariliyn Monroe cutting one heel 0.6cm shorter than the other so she would walk with a sexier swagger," says a rep. "The track layers a synth sound over a slick beat."
Lee trained with SM Entertainment for seven years from 2002, and was originally due to join Girl's Generation. However, much to her disappointment, she failed to make the final lineup.
"I think I was in an uncertain position," she has said of the situation. "I don't think I was a good enough dancer compared to the other Girls' Generation members, or that eye-catching and pretty."
But it seems Lee, who will also hold a live showcase at the BE-HIVE club in Seoul's Cheongdam area on January 15, is now ready to take her spot on the stage.
Adds her rep: "I believe finally the jewel named Lee Hwan Hee, that had been hidden all this time, is starting to shine. You can look forward to it."
